Oak Knoll Manor - Our Old Oak Tree

Oak Knoll Ladies' Club

Have you searched for that special place to have quiet time to just relax, read, and sip a cup of tea surrounded by lovely gardens and birds singing? Oak Knoll Manor has an English library filled with a thousand books and comfortable chairs just waiting for you. Rose gardens and lavender hedges add sweet fragrance to the experience. There is always something new blooming in the gardens – rhododendrons, azaleas, hydrangeas and more. A Japanese garden is planned for opening in spring 2010. For your palate we serve luncheons and afternoon teas.

Bring your binoculars. You can sit on the veranda and perhaps have a sighting of the Golden Eagles that nest nearby or watch the Red Tail Hawks soaring overhead. Finches and songbirds chatter and splash in the three large Italian Fountains in the gardens. The 100 year old oaks on the property attract woodpeckers, doves, ravens and many other species. You may even catch a glimpse of deer, squirrels, quail or wild turkeys which pass through the property frequently. Vineyards rest on the surrounding hills while horses, sheep and cattle can be viewed in the distance.

Tables are set for playing cards or board games if you want to spend a quiet afternoon with friends. You can chat on the veranda or in the gazebo or just lounge in the shade under the oak trees. You choose how you want to spend your day. Take a mini-vacation without the tour director! Your monthly membership of $100.00 will provide you with two visits per month on Thursday or Friday afternoons during the hours of 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Ladies, luncheon is included!
